All you have to do is step inside any store and you will immediately find that it is Pumpkin Spice season everywhere! Now don’t get me wrong, I am a full blow Pumpkin Spice Latte addict. I get one almost, almost, everyday. My day revolves around getting my Pumpkin Spice fix. But, Pumpkin Spice cough drops….uhm….not today….not ever.
You have heard me talk about The FOLD, our Sunday School class, many times. I love each and every one of them. But the real reason I love my class is this…..
Sir Streusel always brings a lesson that has something each and everyone of us can take something away from and apply it to our lives. He just makes getting up at 5:30am on Sunday morning a little easier for me.
It’s pumpkin baking season! All you have to do is step inside any grocery store and you will see an explosion of pumpkin.
However, this one has me scratching my head……
It’s November! It’s fall! One day it is going to cool off in Florida and we will feel like fall! In kitchens everywhere, fall is the season to celebrate pumpkin. I am the first to run to Starbucks for ‘Pumpkin Spice’ coffee the day is appears on the fall menu.
What would fall be without a hot loaf of pumpkin bread? I don’t even want to imagine a world without pumpkin bread, or chocolate, or bacon, or heaven forbid….cheese. I don’t even want to go there, that’s a sad world. This is a great little recipe to share with neighbors. I have a wonderful neighbor that helps me all the time with little things around the house when Sir Streusel is out of town. He and his wife are often paid with goodies from Edna. A loaf of this bread is surely going to make its way to their home, because it’s pumpkin….and it’s delicious!!
