This and That

A little of this and a little of that is what I am sharing with you today.  I shared with you my version of “Dinner on the Ground.”

I do not recommend this version of the classic “Dinner on the Ground.”

Today I am sharing birthdays, cookies, cupcakes, and a relaxing day with Sir Streusel.

A dear friend of mine is expecting her second grandbaby!  She has three daughters and one granddaughter.  The little one on the way is a BOY!!!  Can you feel the excitement for this little man?!  A baby shower with an airplane theme was given to honor the little Mama to be.  I made my first ever decorated cookies.  I learned a lot.  I learned a lot of ‘do’s and dont’s’.  All in all, I think they turned out really cute.

All three of my punks celebrate March birthdays.  My ballerina baby celebrates hers on March 9th.  What kind of Mama would I be if I didn’t bake my baby some cupcakes?

Just sweet little old-fashioned cupcakes with sprinkles.  She loved them!

A birthday dinner with a donut canister was just her style.

Love this girl.

Well it is not my style to just put a candle on a cupcake and call it a day.  My style leans more towards placing a chandelier on the cupcake and lighting a fire!

Three days after her birthday, it is our boy’s birthday.  They live in Raleigh but will be coming home in two weeks!!!!  I am so excited!  We will celebrate their birthdays when they arrive.  I haven’t celebrated a birthday with them since they were 18 years old.  That just ain’t right!!  They have not lived anywhere near home since they left for college.  Enough of that, I am about to go into the ugly cry.

My twin men who I couldn’t be prouder of, love more, or more excited to see in a couple of months!

We had dinner with Viv, Eric’s mom, and she was having a good day.  She is adjusting well to her new ‘home’.  She always lights up with a smile when she sees us.

Sir Streusel and I had a great relaxing day this past Saturday.  We took a drive to a lake about an hour outside of Pensacola.  Beautiful lake with a walking path that I was able to enjoy while he threw a line and enjoyed himself.  We don’t have a lot of ‘down time’.  It seems as if we are always running a race.

We tried a new pizza restaurant in Pensacola, “Pieology” that was very good.  The crust was different, never had crust like it before.  I was starving!  We ate every bite.  We may or may not have licked our plates.

Easter is coming!  I will be sharing some of my Easter/Spring decor with you soon!

Like I said, a little of this and a little of that.  Just some random tidbits of life in the Sheaffer home.

Hope you enjoyed!

Love ya,

Jody and Edna
